Where is Yaazoraa in Anuradhapura?
We are on the New Kandy Road at Nalumkulama, on the southern shore of Nuwara Wewa and about 6 km from Anuradhapura town. The Sri Maha Bodhi, Ruwanwelisaya and the rest of the Sacred City are a 12 to 15 minute drive away, and Mihintale is about 20 minutes.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 2:00 pm and check-out is by 11:00 am. If you are arriving early from Colombo or leaving late, message us and we will do our best to help.
How much does a room cost?
Room-only rates start at LKR 7,000 for a single, LKR 11,000 for a double and LKR 13,500 for a triple per night. Bed & breakfast, half board and full board are available. Booking direct by phone or WhatsApp gets you our best rate.
Can we use the pool without staying overnight?
Yes. Our Couple Day Out and group gathering packages include pool access. Call or WhatsApp us to check availability for your date.
Is the restaurant open to non-residents?
Yes. Our café and restaurant serves all day, from breakfast through lunch and high tea to dinner, and everyone is welcome. We serve Sri Lankan, Asian and fusion dishes, and breakfast is halal.
Can I work from Yaazoraa with a laptop?
Yes. The café has a coffee bar and free Wi-Fi, and you can book a meeting room or our private dining room, which has a TV for presentations. Message us to reserve a table or a room for your team.
Is Yaazoraa a good base for visiting the Sacred City of Anuradhapura?
Yes. The Sri Maha Bodhi, Ruwanwelisaya and Jetavanaramaya are about 15 minutes away by road, so you can visit the sacred sites in the cool of the morning and evening and rest by the lake in between. Ask us and we will help you find a tuk-tuk for the day.
Does the hotel have a swimming pool?
Yes, an infinity pool that looks out across Nuwara Wewa. It is open to hotel guests and included in our day out packages.
Do you have parking and Wi-Fi?
Free private parking is available on site and free Wi-Fi covers the whole property.
Are children and pets allowed?
Children of all ages are welcome. We are unable to accommodate pets.
How do I get to Yaazoraa from Colombo or the airport?
Anuradhapura is about 185 km from Bandaranaike International Airport, around 4 hours by road. Trains from Colombo Fort stop at Anuradhapura station, about 10 minutes from us by tuk-tuk.
